Are you passionate about volunteering?
Let us know! Together we can continue to inspire our community's children and future generations. Mount Vernon Rotary is actively working to engage our youth and inspire them.
Together we transform the community around us. Through service projects, charitable giving, community outreach, educational seminars, youth engagement -- Mount Vernon Rotary seeks to transform through actions guided by our motto, "Service Above Self."
Aleeta Gardner, Mount Vernon Club President
"The biggest communication problem is we don't listen to understand. We listen to reply." However, Mount Vernon Rotary is an organization that continually seeks to listen to our community to better understand it's needs. Our club was founded in 1976, and plays an active role locally, while also supporting projects nationally and abroad! As Rotarians it is our mission to lead our lives according to "Service Above Self" and continuously seek ways to improve the community around us - whether that community is in our neighborhood or across the ocean. Mount Vernon Rotary's vision is to continually find ways to engage, improve, and support our community here in Alexandria and anywhere else in need of a kind and helping hand. I believe we should live a life of service and always aspire to improve the lives of others and the community at large.
Aleeta has extensive public service experience through volunteering for several organizations within the Washington, D.C. area.
